Overview

This Privacy Policy explains the general categories of information MockConnect may collect, how that information is used, and the choices users may have. MockConnect is an interview preparation marketplace, so the service handles account, profile, scheduling, booking, uploaded-file, meeting, feedback, payment, and support data.

2

Information we collect

  • Account information, such as name, email address, profile photo, sign-in provider, role, and account status.
  • Profile information, such as professional title, experience, skills, goals, expertise, availability preferences, public profile settings, links, and onboarding responses.
  • Uploaded and parsed materials, such as resumes, job descriptions, extracted resume details, summaries, skills, education, work history, and related matching signals.
  • Marketplace activity, such as interviewer offerings, booking requests, proposed times, accepted sessions, interview status, feedback, reviews, notifications, disputes, and support messages.
  • Payment and payout metadata, such as checkout status, transaction status, payout readiness, provider references, masked bank detail summaries, encrypted payout bank identifiers, and bank payout records where supported.
  • Technical data, such as device, browser, IP address, approximate location, log events, cookies, session identifiers, and product reliability signals.
3

How we use information

  • To create and secure accounts, enforce role-specific access, and provide authentication.
  • To operate candidate discovery, interviewer profiles, offerings, availability, booking requests, payments, meeting pages, feedback, reviews, notifications, and support.
  • To parse resumes and other uploaded materials when users choose to upload them, and to show relevant profile or matching information.
  • To prevent abuse, investigate disputes, troubleshoot technical issues, improve reliability, and protect platform safety.
  • To communicate with users about requests, interviews, payments, account changes, support issues, and product updates.
4

When information is shared

MockConnect shares information only as needed to operate the product, support users, comply with obligations, or protect the platform.

  • Candidates and interviewers may see information needed to evaluate, book, prepare for, complete, and review a session.
  • Public profile information is shown according to the profile owner's publication and visibility settings.
  • Service providers may process data for hosting, authentication, payments, email, file storage, video meetings, analytics, monitoring, security, and customer support.
  • Information may be disclosed if required by law, to enforce terms, to prevent fraud or harm, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
5

Resumes, recordings, and sensitive data

Resumes, profile details, meeting records, feedback, payout information, and dispute materials can contain sensitive information. Users should upload only materials they are allowed to share. Where recording is enabled, the meeting page should disclose recording before joining. Recordings may be retained for dispute review, support, platform safety, and quality workflows.

6

Payments and payout providers

Payment and payout workflows may be handled by third-party providers. MockConnect generally stores operational payment metadata rather than full card or bank account numbers. Payout details may be stored in masked or encrypted form where supported by the product architecture.

7

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential cookies and session identifiers are used for sign-in, account security, role-specific access, and product operation.
  • Preference storage may be used for settings such as theme or interface choices.
  • Analytics or marketing cookies should only be used when disclosed and controlled through the product's cookie or privacy settings.
8

Data retention

MockConnect keeps information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet operational needs, resolve disputes, comply with legal or accounting obligations, prevent abuse, and maintain security records. Some records may be deleted, anonymized, or retained for longer where required by payment, dispute, tax, safety, backup, or legal workflows.

9

Your choices

  • You can update profile details, social links, public profile visibility, availability, offerings, and settings through the product where available.
  • You can choose whether to publish a public profile and which profile sections are visible.
  • You may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of certain personal information by contacting privacy support.
  • Some information may need to be retained when required for security, payment, dispute, legal, or legitimate operational reasons.
10

Security

MockConnect uses technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including role-based access boundaries, backend-mediated data access, provider controls, and encryption patterns for certain sensitive fields. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

11

International use

Users, providers, and infrastructure may be located in different countries. By using MockConnect, you understand that information may be processed in countries with data protection rules that differ from your location.

12

Children and minors

MockConnect is intended for professional interview preparation and is not directed to children. Users should not create an account or submit personal information if they are not old enough to use the service under applicable law.
