1

Agreement overview

These Terms of Service describe the rules for using MockConnect. By creating an account, browsing public profiles, sending requests, accepting bookings, joining interviews, uploading materials, paying for sessions, receiving payouts, or using any related feature, you agree to use the service responsibly and in line with these terms.

2

Accounts and eligibility

  • You must provide accurate account, profile, availability, payout, and contact information.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method and account access secure.
  • Candidate and interviewer accounts are role-specific. You should not misrepresent your identity, experience, credentials, or relationship with any employer or institution.
  • MockConnect may restrict or suspend access if account activity appears fraudulent, abusive, unsafe, or inconsistent with these terms.
3

Marketplace role responsibilities

MockConnect connects candidates with interviewers for professional interview practice. The platform does not guarantee job offers, hiring outcomes, promotion outcomes, immigration outcomes, compensation decisions, or any other external result.

  • Candidates should submit truthful goals, relevant background, and interview context so interviewers can prepare effectively.
  • Interviewers should accurately describe their experience, honor accepted sessions, prepare for the agreed format, and provide useful feedback after completed interviews.
  • Both parties should communicate professionally and avoid harassment, discrimination, intimidation, spam, or other harmful conduct.
4

Booking requests and confirmation

  • A candidate request is an invitation to book, not a confirmed interview.
  • The interviewer may accept a proposed time, decline the request, or ask the candidate to edit the request.
  • A session is confirmed only when the required payment or free-session confirmation step is completed after interviewer acceptance.
  • Request expiry, accepted-payment deadlines, meeting windows, reminders, and cancellation rules are shown in the product workflow where applicable.
  • Confirmed-interview rescheduling may be requested by either party where the product makes it available. The original interview time remains active until a replacement slot is accepted, and cancellation or refund handling still follows the applicable booking policy.
5

Booking, cancellation, and no-show outcomes

MockConnect applies the following default outcomes to request, cancellation, and attendance events. Attendance is based on the official MockConnect meeting page and provider records, not informal messages or off-platform calls. Support may adjust an outcome when required by law, payment-provider rules, a verified platform failure, safety concerns, or a valid dispute.

  • The 24-hour cancellation cutoff is calculated from the scheduled interview start time.
  • Refunds are returned to the original payment method where payment-provider support allows it.
  • Free sessions do not create refund or payout obligations, but cancellation, no-show, conduct, and reliability records may still apply.
  • Users should report technical issues promptly through the product flow or support channel and should include relevant details.
6

Payments and payouts

Paid sessions may be processed through third-party payment providers or approved bank payout methods. Prices, service fees, platform fees, taxes, payment timing, payout timing, refund eligibility, and currency handling may vary by product flow, provider availability, and location.

  • Candidates should review the total amount due before completing checkout. The displayed total may include the interviewer session price and a MockConnect service fee.
  • Candidates authorize the applicable charge when completing checkout or another payment flow.
  • Interviewers are responsible for providing accurate payout details and complying with any tax or reporting obligations that apply to them.
  • Payouts may be held, delayed, adjusted, or frozen when feedback is missing, the review window is open, a dispute is open, attendance is unresolved, payment review is pending, or provider checks require it.
  • Prices, fees, and payout amounts are snapshotted for a booking/payment flow. Later package changes do not automatically alter existing confirmed sessions.
7

Disputes and review windows

Either party may raise a dispute for no-show, feedback, recording, technical, conduct, safety, or payment concerns where the product makes dispute reporting available.

  • The candidate review window is normally 48 hours after feedback or eligible session completion states.
  • Opening a dispute may freeze payout movement while operations reviews the available evidence.
  • Operations may consider meeting-room join records, chat messages, payment records, feedback, uploaded evidence, and recordings where available and legally usable.
  • Possible outcomes include refunding the candidate, releasing interviewer payout, taking no payment action, closing the dispute, or applying account-level safety or reliability action.
  • MockConnect targets timely review, but payment-provider, evidence, safety, or legal constraints may affect timing.
8

Meetings, recordings, and feedback

Interview sessions may include meeting pages, video rooms, feedback forms, notifications, and recordings where enabled. If a session is recorded, the meeting page should disclose that before users join. Recordings and feedback may be used for platform safety, dispute review, support, and service quality workflows.

  • Users should not independently record a session unless all required parties have consented and applicable law allows it.
  • MockConnect may limit recording access to authorized support or operations workflows and may audit recording access.
  • Recording retention, deletion, and legal holds may vary when a dispute, safety report, provider requirement, or legal obligation applies.
9

User content and uploaded materials

  • You retain ownership of materials you upload or submit, such as resumes, profile details, interview goals, messages, and feedback.
  • You give MockConnect permission to host, process, display, parse, summarize, and transmit that content as needed to operate the service.
  • Do not upload confidential employer materials, proprietary interview questions, trade secrets, personal data you are not allowed to share, malware, or unlawful content.
  • Public profile settings are controlled separately from private account, booking, payment, and dispute information.
10

Conduct, confidentiality, and acceptable use

  • Candidates should not submit confidential employer materials, proprietary interview questions, trade secrets, or personal data they are not allowed to share.
  • Interviewers should not disclose candidate resumes, job descriptions, messages, private feedback, or session content outside the service except where legally required.
  • Interviewers should accurately describe their experience, honor accepted sessions, prepare for the agreed format, and provide useful feedback after completed interviews.
  • Do not abuse, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or attempt to bypass the platform or its security controls.
  • Do not use MockConnect to impersonate others, collect data without permission, solicit off-platform payments in a deceptive way, or evade platform fees.
  • Do not share direct meeting credentials, private feedback, payment information, or another user's files except where the product clearly allows it.
11

Third-party services

MockConnect may rely on third-party providers for authentication, payments, file storage, email, analytics, video meetings, transcription, or other infrastructure. Those providers may process data under their own terms and policies. MockConnect is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control.

12

Availability, exceptions, and changes

MockConnect may add, change, pause, or remove features as the product evolves. The service may be interrupted by maintenance, provider outages, security issues, or operational events. We may cancel, refund, investigate, or otherwise adjust sessions when there is a payment failure, no-show, safety issue, dispute, provider incident, or platform error. We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date.

13

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

MockConnect is provided for interview preparation and professional development. To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific career outcomes. MockConnect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.
